Don’t Miss Our Upcoming Microchip Clinic
June 11, 2012
Help ensure a safe return by microchipping your pet. Our next microchip clinic is June 19, 3-4 p.m. Please enter through the admissions door located on the right side (if facing building). Cost per microchip is $30. Cash only please. Microchips are about the size of a grain of rice and contain information that can be accessed by an animal shelter or vet to find the owner of a lost pet.
A microchip isn’t meant to take the place of a collar and a nametag — both signify right away that the pet has a home — but if the nametag gets lost, then what? The process of microchipping takes just few seconds and is similar to giving your pet a routine vaccination. Most microchips last the pet’s lifetime, and boy will the microchip be worth it if your pet ever gets lost. It also allows shelters and vets to reunite you with your pet sooner, thereby spending less time in a shelter.
Can’t make it to this week’s microchip clinic? Don’t worry, we host them throughout the year on the third Tuesday of every month.
