Pet of the Week – Opal
October 17, 2017
Meet Opal (ID 68481)! She is an adorable longhaired calico kitty with the most beautiful markings. She has a fluffy, feathery tail that is almost as big as the rest of her body! Opal is a petite senior kitty that is looking for a quiet home with a big comfy bed to cuddle up on. This little girl has been previously declawed, so she needs to be an indoor-only kitty in order to stay safe. While Opal can take a little time to settle in to new surroundings, once she is comfortable she is such a love! She will rub up against your legs asking for pets. Opal is a true princess and wants attention on her terms, so she is looking for a home with kids over the age of 16 who will be respectful when she wants her space. After getting all the pets she wants, Opal is perfectly content to go off on her own and curl up in a quiet spot. Our vet team found that Opal has evidence of early kidney disease, so she is looking for a dedicated home with someone who will be able to provide her with the care she needs to stay healthy as she ages. This senior girl deserves a loving home in which to live out her golden years. Could that be with you? She is currently spending time in a staff office. If you would like to meet her, please ask at the front desk! You can meet Opal and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open six days a week.
