KHS Construction Update: 6/1
June 1, 2023
There’s the constant hum of big machines. A new fence where there wasn’t one before. The “beep, beep, beep” of trucks backing up. And dirt being moved here, there, and everywhere. They’re the latest signs of progress on the KHS campus and it’s pretty exciting to watch.
One of the surest signs of progress is when the paint guns come out. At the Russ & Linda Young Veterinary Lifesaving Center (VLC), you’ll find teams of masked painters busily covering the walls and ceilings in soothing shades. “Ceilings” you say? Yes! Ceiling grids have been installed throughout many of the rooms, and next up are the installation of solar tubes and lights. Across the parking lot, the storm detention tanks have been completely covered and piping is being installed. It’s also pretty noisy, but great to see!
Want to join a tour of the project? Please email KHS Director of Philanthropy Jamie Nocula today! We’ll provide the hard hat.
Don’t forget to come and make some noise of your own at PetsWALK Presented by VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital this Saturday June 3! Our charity 5K and festival is a springtime celebration for the whole family, including four-legged fur babies. Invite your friends, family, and leashed pets!
