Smokey and Tu are a bonded pair of 8-year-old kitties that made their way to KHS together. Immediately, our Community Resource and Behavior Team knew these two needed decompression time, lots of love, support, and patience as they endured on the next step in their journey. The team even went as far as to set up a camera to watch the pair’s activities after hours. Smokey and Tu are now ready to meet the family that will help them enjoy life in their new home.

Smokey (lilac point) is slowly warming up to play time and Tu (grey) has shown he can be affectionate with his people. While the two are usually hanging on their cat tower during adoption hours, when the lights go out, it’s time to PLAY! We anticipate that these behaviors will continue as the two will need lots of time and patience to adjust to their new home. If your heart is ready for it, our adoptions team is happy to provide tips and resources when it comes to caring for more skiddish cats. Overall, we know that Smokey and Tu will thrive somewhere permanent where they can be shown the companionship they so desperately deserve.
