You’ve never seen such an excited group of veterinary professionals. As soon as they’d wrapped up their last surgery in the old space, they were carting supplies and equipment and furniture into the new Russ and Linda Young Veterinary Lifesaving Center. It wasn’t without some sense of nostalgia for the years of camaraderie and success that they’d experienced in that tiny little room, but there was also a sense of victory and anticipation for what was to come. It was a pretty great day.

Outside the Center, we finally saw the first placement of the tribute bricks being laid in the courtyard. We’ll be sharing more news on the name and story behind the area very soon.

And down at The Barn, things are happening too. The rafters have been placed and work on the roof is slated to start today. Soon, we’ll see the framing of the walls and the beginnings of the siding.

So, we have plenty to celebrate… and celebrate we will. We hope you’ll join us for our annual gala, Animal Krackers at the Suquamish Clearwater Casino Resort on Saturday, October 7. Great food, decadent desserts, exciting auctions, and special friends are going to make for a wonderful night. Can’t wait to see you there!
