Pet of the Week — Courtney
September 20, 2021
Meet Courtney! Courtney is a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix looking for a dedicated adopter who can help her flourish into the best dog she can be! Courtney is young and active, so she would love a home where she will have lots of playtime and exercise. This girl loves to run and especially loves to play fetch! She would love a home with a big, fenced yard where she can zoom after a ball and where she can learn new tricks through positive reinforcement training. This adorable girl is fearful of strangers and is still learning that strangers aren’t as scary as they seem, so she would do best in a calm, quiet home where she can slowly come out of her shell and feel safe. Since Courtney takes some time to trust her people and does best in a quiet, relaxing setting, she would love to live with family members that are 12 years and older and would not do well in an apartment. Courtney is not good with other dogs and needs to be the only dog in her home. She would not do well going to dog parks or having dogs visit her at home. Courtney has the potential to be a great dog but needs someone who understands her and can put the time in to help her learn while showing her all the love she deserves. If Courtney sounds like the perfect pup for you, ask about meeting her today! You can meet Courtney and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open for walk-up appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. Learn more on our adoptable pets page!
