Pet of the Week — Hannah
August 30, 2021
Meet Hannah! Hannah is a sweet, 6-year-old, brown tabby with the most beautiful marble markings. Hannah has been spending time in a staff office and is such a love bug! She enjoys pets down her back and scratches under her chin. Once you start petting her, she’ll purr away to show just how content she is. When she isn’t busy getting attention and snuggles from staff, Hannah enjoys curling up in a covered cat bed so she can take a snooze with some privacy. Hannah is a bit of a shy gal at first so it might take her some time to warm up and show you her true personality, but once she feels comfortable, she is a total sweetheart! When Hannah came to Kitsap Humane Society, we found that she had cancer in her right eye, and her eye needed to be removed. Hannah has recovered well from her surgery and has adjusted quickly to life as a one-eyed cat. Unfortunately, our vet team also found a mass in Hannah’s lungs, which could be a sign that the cancer in her eye metastasized. For this reason, Hannah is considered a hospice adoption. We are hopeful that Hannah has many wonderful, healthy years ahead of her, but she needs an adopter who will work closely with their regular vet to help ensure she stays comfortable for as long as she can. If you are ready to open your home and heart to a special needs cat, come in to meet Hannah today! You can meet Hannah and other adoptable animals at Kitsap Humane Society, open for walk-up appointments on a first-come, first-served basis. www.kitsap-humane.org
