Haselwood’s Drive for a Cause Raises $47K for the Animals!
Haselwood Auto Group’s Drive for a Cause in April raised a whopping $47,000 for animals at Kitsap Humane Society!
Haselwood Auto Group owner Rick Wiler presented the check to Kitsap Humane Society Executive Director Eric Stevens and his staff May 23.
Haselwood’s Drive for a Cause promotion raised the funds by donating $20 for every vehicle purchased and $5 donation for every car serviced at dealerships in the West Hills Auto Plex in Bremerton. Customers pitched in and donated $14,000 toward the total.
“We have never had so many customers donate,” during a Drive for a Cause event, Wiler said, noting that Haselwood employees love animals and were excited to participate in the drive to help Kitsap Humane Society.
In addition to Drive for a Cause, Haselwood Auto Group held an adoption event at the dealership on April 28, with 21 puppies and kittens adopted into loving homes, and hundreds of families in attendance.
“We are so grateful to our friends at Haselwood Auto Group for putting their love for pets into action,” said Tom Weed, KHS Director of Donor Relations. “It’s an amazing opportunity and a real honor for our organization to partner with such a widely respected business and family name in our greater Kitsap community. Our tails are wagging!”
“The Haselwood Auto Group is honored to assist the Kitsap Humane Society with their important and worthy mission,” said Sean Green, Haselwood’s director of marketing. “It was especially gratifying to see the hundreds of guests that visited our Auto Plex during the Adoption Event, some from as far away as Olympia.”
