Every day, the power of your gifts is at work at KHS to help save animals like  Dahlia.

Dahlia arrived at one of KHS’s Rescue Me Program partner shelters in Kauai in October. Likely a boar hunting dog used for breeding, she was in poor condition. She was underweight, had fleas, scars and discharge from her eyes and ears. Dahlia was transferred to Kitsap Humane Society in mid November and was adopted a week later. Dahlia is now named Alice, and she is settling in well with her new human parents and canine siblings. Though she had likely never lived indoors before, she has transitioned remarkably well and is reported to be a bed hog!
