Hello, my name is Spencer (Intake #57197) and I’m a sweet 3-year-old Pomeranian/Maltese mix. I’m currently spending time in a foster home and my foster mom reports that I’m so much fun! I LOVE to play. Whether I’m playing with squeaky toys or balls, I think all toys are a blast. I’m great at fetch and I love tug-of-war. I pretend I’m a tough guy and I do lots of play bravado growling while I play tug-of-war. I’m very active and love to go for walks and I walk well on a leash. When I’m done playing for the day, I’m a quiet snuggle bug who loves to curl up on your lap or on the couch for a nap. I love to go on adventures and I ride great in the car. In my foster home, I  have lots of opportunities for short walks and potty breaks, and I haven’t had any accidents in the house. But since I have a little dog bladder, I also will use pee pads in the house if I have to go potty in the middle of the night or if left alone for too long. I’m fearful of other dogs and need to be the only pet in the home. On walks, if I comes across another dog, I will bark and pull on the leash, but I’m easily redirected. However, to keep me from getting too stressed, it would be best to not take me to places where there is a lot of dog traffic, such as dog parks, pet stores or doggie day care. I’m so much fun and love to snuggle and be carried. If you are looking for an outgoing, playful and affectionate little dog, I may be the one for you!
