Hello, my name is Lawdie (Intake #51690) and I am an older adult male Rottweiler looking for a new family to love and care for me. I lived with my previous owner my entire life and was surrendered when one of my owners passed away and the other is out of town for work a lot. I have lived with a female dog before, but need a home free of fowl and kitties. I am housebroken and will tap at the door or do a “happy dance” to let you know I have to go outside. I love attention and treats, but don’t like to share my treats or toys so will need a home with older or no kids who can respect my space when I’m enjoying delicious things. I can get excited when people come home or when we have visitors, but I calm down quickly. I love hanging out with my family and am content to be right by your side. As an older gentleman I do have some arthritis in my hind end that makes me pretty uncomfortable so I’ll need a dedicated, loving owner who can keep me on joint supplements and follow up with their vet about possible pain meds as I get older.
