Kitsap Humane Society is FULL of cats, so we’re having a Meow Luau on Friday, June 12th with FREE adoptions for all cats over six months old! As the weather warms in the spring, cats begin to procreate, and roam outdoors more, leading to higher numbers of cats arriving at the shelter. Unfortunately only a small percentage of stray cats at the shelter are reclaimed by their owners, so KHS is left looking for new homes for hundreds of cats. We are hoping to empty our cat rooms during our Meow Luau, when all adult cats (over six months old) will have NO adoption fee. All adopted cats will be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, treated for fleas, dewormed, and mirochipped. The cost of all that care is typically covered in part by adoption fees, so any donations from adopters during the Meow Luau will be greatly appreciated. Adopters will have the option to purchase FeLV/FIV testing and retail items such as litter and a litter box at the time of adoption.
