Help us “Spay it Forward”
January 28, 2012
Spaying or neutering your pet is the most effective remedy to prevent pet overpopulation. For every one human born, 15 puppies and 45 kittens are born. Altering your pet can prevent the birth of thousands of unwanted animals in the future. That’s why we’re asking you to “Spay it Forward.”
Make a donation to our Spay/Neuter Fund and you will help underwrite the cost of a surgery for a family in need. In conjunction with World Spay Day, our goal is to provide 50 spay/neuter surgeries at no cost. But in order to do that, we need your help. We are hoping to raise $2,000 by Spay Day, February 28, 2012.
If we reach our goal, we will seek out families facing financial hardship, drive to pick up their animals, bring them to the shelter, alter them and take them back home the same day. All this at no charge to the family! Your gift will help families living below the poverty line and also prevent pet overpopulation. It’s a win-win!

Each year, thousands of unwanted animals are surrendered to KHS and it’s our job to find them loving, permanent homes. Help reduce pet overpopulation and “Spay it Forward!”
