There’s no place like home, especially the one your friend has right now

During the ASPCA Challenge the Kitsap Humane Society is not only pushing to adopt more animals than ever, we’re looking to return just as many to their original loving homes. There is no heartache like losing your loved one and wondering where in the world they are, we know first hand as animal lovers. Most often we assume the worst. In addition to our services with microchipping, licensing, and lost/found, we are happy to share another internet resource. http://www.lostpetcards.com/index.htm By using a postcard system you are able to dramatically increase your chances of finding your companion. KHS makes no revenue on this third party service, however we wanted to share for those of you that have experienced this type of heartache. Please know that indoor cats have a much longer life span on average than cats allowed to roam outside, because they do not face the dangers of eagles, coyotes, raccoons, traffic, or antifreeze. Especially for dogs, it’s the law! If your animal is lost, know that Kitsap Humane Society does not euthanize for space. Our dedication is to rehome every animal able to be treated or managed. We can keep our precious kennel resources available for animals in need if we practice responsiblie ownership and use every resource possible once an animal is lost. Rescue Rehabilitate Rehome
