The event is from Noon-6:30 p.m., Monday, August 1, at KHS.
For the second year in a row, the ASPCA is challenging shelters across the country to save lives like never before. Challenge contestants will organize, innovate and work both harder and smarter in order to save at least 300 more cats and dogs between August and October 2011 than they did during the same period last year. There’s over $300,000 in grants as prizes, not to mention the biggest prize of all – being part of saving THOUSANDS more lives this year.
This Challenge will allow KHS to push ourselves to better manage our shelter operations, data collection, community engagement and adoption protocols. But most of all, it will push us to be a better shelter and a bigger champion for all of the abandoned animals we Rescue. Rehabilitate. Rehome.
