Borrowing a very successful code enforcement and criminal investigatory model from local fire departments, the Animal Rescue Department (formerly Animal Control) at Kitsap Humane Society provides communities with a number of domestic animal related services, including:

 

·  Specialized "Animal Control" code enforcement

·  24/7 response to emergency calls

·  Animal cruelty investigations

·  Assistance to fire, medical and police agencies

·  Small and large disaster planning and response

·  Removal of pets and livestock from public roads

·  K-12 and public education
